Eating my way through Madreat

Last weekend I finally went to Madreat after months of ‘I will go next time’ and it was definitely worth the wait!

Madreat is a food street festival that is held once a month, normally the third weekend of the month. However, next month it will be held the second weekend (8th, 9th and 10th of May) because San Isidro (Madrid’s Saint) is the third weekend. Check their website for the dates of Madreat.

Madreat started back in 2014 and has been very successful. Most of the trucks are restaurants in Madrid. The hardest part is choosing what to eat!

Tip: Look for the trucks with the longest queues because they are normally the best.

Not only is there amazing food, but also music to entertain you. Grab a beer, some food, sit back and enjoy the atmosphere.

€8 for a bottle of wine at the funky chicken truck.

Get some actual spicy food at kitchen 154.

Have a delicious hot dog.

This incredible burger was only €5 at meat!

Location: AZCA, entrance by Paseo de la Castellana 89.

Metro: Nuevo Ministerios

Opening Hours: Friday from 12:00 to 18:00
Saturday from 12:00 to 24:00
Sunday from 12:00 to 18:00

Until next time!
