Howth, a day trip from Dublin

On my second visit to Dublin I decided to take a day trip to somewhere else in Ireland. Considering I only had two days in Dublin (thanks to bad Ryanair flight times) I couldn’t go too far. Howth  is the perfect day trip from Dublin for those pushed for time as it’s only 20 minutes form Dublin.

Howth is a cute fishing village just outside of Dublin. To get there all you need to do is take the DART from Dublin City centre. It will take about 20 minutes to get there.

Once in Howth take a walk around. There is a little market worth dropping in to see and the village it’s self is adorable. Walk along the harbour and the pier. If you are lucky enough you might see a seal like we did in the sea.

If you are around at a meal time you should stop and get some fish and chips. I don’t know if it is because they are right next to the sea, but the fish and chips definitely taste better there!

Have you ever been to Howth?
