Monday Snapshot: Piazza della vergogna

Taken back in April 2014 in Palermo.

The reason it is called the ‘square of shame’ is because of the naked statues. Apparently it didn’t go over too well when this fountain was placed in the middle of Palermo back in 1573. It was originally intended for a palace in Florence away from the public eye.
